At What Temperature Do Reishi Mushrooms Grow?

Reishi mushrooms grow best in temperate climates with low humidity. They can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, but prefer cooler weather. In general, reishi mushrooms prefer daytime temperatures in the 60-70° Fahrenheit range and nighttime temperatures in the 50-60° Fahrenheit range. High humidity can cause the mushrooms to rot, so they should be grown in an environment with good air circulation.

The cultivation of reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma lucidum) is a long and complicated process that can take many months to complete. The first step is to prepare the substrate, which is typically a hardwood log or tree stump. The log is then inoculated with mushroom spores, and after a period of time the reishi mushrooms will begin to fruiting. The entire process can take anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the specific conditions of the grow site.

Reishi mushrooms are a slow-growing species, and their cultivation requires patience and attention to detail. However, the rewards of harvesting these delicious and nutritious mushrooms are well worth the effort.
